#95 - Young People F*cking

Young People F*cking is a hilarious take on the different ways people experience and obtain sex in modern society.

The film follows five relationships and is divided into five chapters: initiation, foreplay, sex, interlude, climax, and the afterglow. It delves into sex within all different types of relationships: exes, a long term couple, best friends, a first date, and even housemates.

The accuracy and familiarity of these situations is what I find most entertaining. I love the frankness, surprises, and awkward moments this film shares with the audience. It looks at modern sexual encounters without the cheese and over the top nature of most romantic comedies.

The relationships are common yet diverse. We follow the exes who are reuniting for the first time, a sexually stagnant long-term couple, and a threesome where two people have sex while one’s partner watches on, encouraging and masturbating...

The relationship I find most interesting is the best friends who end up organising a night of sex to "empty the ball sack" of the guy. They battle through different sexual difficulties during their night together. Awkward moments, erection issues, and other technical errors get in their way, but then, as they’re both about to climax, they admit their love for each other.

Young People F*cking is a film I have watched numerous times and without fail it gets me giggling. I would recommend it to anyone who likes awkward, silly "Michael Cera" style humour.

This film is not for anyone who’s looking for something deep or sentimental. There is nothing tough or gritty about this film; it’s like watching American Pie without the pie.

I also don't recommend watching this film lying in bed with your best friend who you almost had sex with once...
