The year is 1999. Nebraska police officer Kathryn Bolkovac (Rachel Weisz) joins the U.N. peace-keeping force in the wilds of post-war Sarajevo. Promoted to the U.N.’s Gender Office which investigates sexual assaults, Bolkovac uncovers evidence of human trafficking, boldly investigating a trail of corruption that implicates fellow peacekeepers and officials, putting her life in danger.

Based on a true story, this suspenseful and confronting blend of topical drama and conspiracy thriller benefits hugely from a commanding turn by Rachel Weisz.
